Video Editing
I have created openings, tributes and memorials for conventions
and conferences. These pieces have to be short, tight and
memorable. Sometimes the medium used is a digital slide
show, sometimes a video that is shown in a conference and
then distributed, and sometimes it is burned to a DVD, CD,
or made into web files.
I have edited videos aimed at raising awareness for various
social issues with the goal of social justice. Videos with
a cause are always special.
The convergence of computers and video and the resulting
digital tools have required video artists to expand their
skills and mindsets, blurring the absolute distinctions
that were common in the old paradigm. Many of the pieces
I produce now require compositing and editing and addition
of a sound track before going out the door.
